The Journal of Ethnopharmacology , abbreviated J. Ethnopharmacol. is a scientific journal published by Elsevier- Verlag. It is the official journal of the International Society for Ethnopharmacology . The first issue appeared in January 1979. Currently, 18 issues are published each year. The magazine is dedicated to the exchange of information about the use of plants, fungi, animals, microorganisms and minerals by humans. A special focus is on ethnopharmacological (also ethnobotanical and ethnochemical) study approaches.
