Endogenous power

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In geomorphology, processes are referred to as endogenous forces , which shape the landscape forms inside and out of the earth and together with the exogenous forces . Endogenous forces are causally responsible for mountainous folds as well as earthquakes and volcanism . They are also called structure-forming forces. The tectonic plates and continental drift play a decisive role in this. The earth plates move towards each other in three different directions:

  • Constructive : Two continental plates move away from each other ( divergence ).
  • Destructive : Two plates move towards each other ( convergence ).
  • Conservative : The lithospheric plates “slide” past each other ( transform fault ).
