Location of Endringhausen in Remscheid

Endringhausen is a town in the northeast of the North Rhine-Westphalian city of Remscheid . It is on the outskirts of the Lennep district near Lüttringhausen .

The Endringhauser Bach rises above the Hofschaft with ten buildings and flows over the Diepmannsbach into the Morsbach .

history

“Endrenghusen” or “Enderkusen” is the dialect for the Endringhausen estate that can be reached via Diepmannsbacher Straße or Lüttringhauser Straße. It is referred to as the former "Lenneper Grass Citizenship". The agricultural property has always been a little off the beaten track. Documentary evidence of the existence of the farm has existed since 1325, when the place was named "Endychhusen", 1348 as "Endrickhausen" and 1487 as "Enderkußen". The name itself is interpreted as a settlement ( -hausen ) of the Endres (Andreas) clan . A late medieval map of the borders of the old parish of Lüttringhausen shows Endringhausen as external citizenship of Lennep with at least three civil estates.
