Enhanced Parallel Port (EPP) is a mode of a parallel interface on a computer .

The specifications come from Intel , Xircom and Zenith Data Systems . EPP uses bidirectional data transfer and can reach speeds of up to 2  megabytes / s. EPP is mainly used for network adapters , external data carriers and for connecting printers .
