The Entwicklungsring Süd GmbH (EWR) was a joint venture between Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugbau GmbH , Messerschmitt AG and Bölkow GmbH . The company was founded in Munich in 1959 .
Purpose of the company was the development and construction of the jet-propelled VTOL aircraft VJ 101 C .
Heinkel left the company again in 1965; the VJ 101 project was discontinued in 1968. Finally, in 1969, the EEA was merged into Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm (MBB).
