The Environment International is a peer-reviewed scientific journal , published in its present form since the 1987th From 1980 to 1986 there were two previous journals, Environmental Pollution Series A: Ecological and Biological and Environmental Pollution Series B: Chemical and Physical , which were subsequently merged to form Environmental Pollution . The editors-in-chief are David Carpenter and Eddy Zeng.
The journal publishes scientific papers on pollution and pollution . In addition to original research , short communications, review studies and comments are published, and special editions are published from time to time.
The impact factor in 2016 was 5.099, the five-year impact factor was 5.552. This placed the journal in 20th place out of 229 journals in the environmental sciences category for the two-year Impact Factor .
