The first broadcast of the first season was from January 9 to February 20, 2011 on the US TV channel Showtime . A German-language first broadcast has not yet been broadcast. However, it was broadcast in the original with German subtitles on the ProSieben Maxx channel from September 5 to 26, 2013.

The first broadcast of the second season took place between May 11 and July 6, 2012 on the British television channel BBC Two . A German-language first broadcast has not yet been broadcast; However, the broadcast was broadcast in the original with German subtitles from September 26 to October 24, 2013 directly after the first season on the ProSieben Maxx channel .

In September 2012 Showtime and BBC Two extended the series by a third season, which in turn consists of nine episodes. It began broadcasting on Showtime on January 12, 2014.

Season 5
On June 10, 2015, Showtime extended the series for a fifth season. The seven-episode season will be broadcast in 2017. On April 11, 2016 it was announced that it would be the final season.
