from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Inheritance registers, also known as "ervenregister", existed according to the German legal dictionary since the 15th century.

These are registers of the hereditary duties and benefits of an office, its rights and income. The registers recorded the names and number of landowners, the size of their holdings, and the degree of dependency. It also recorded how many villages belonged to the respective office and how many farms, koth farms, cultivated, desert and undeveloped fields were tithes- free or not, as well as the amount of the interest payments .
