Provision of professional, scientific and technical services ( English Professional, scientific and technical activities ) is a sector of the European economy Classification Statistical Classification of Economic Activities in the European Community (NACE) respectively International Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC) and a group of goods to the European Classification of Goods (CPA).
Basics and structure
The provision of professional, scientific and technical services is Section M of NACE Rev. 2 from 2006, the CPA 2008 harmonized with it (both by the EU ) and the largely consistent international classification ISIC Rev. 4 (2008, by the UN ). The sub-grouping is also very similar.
The group comprises the following departments:
- 69 Legal and tax advice , auditing
- 70 Administration and management of companies and businesses ; Business consulting
- 71 architecture and engineering offices ; technical, physical and chemical analysis
- 72 Research and Development
- 73 Advertising and Market Research
- 74 Other professional, scientific and technical activities
- 75 veterinary affairs
The basic common characteristic is:
“This section covers certain professional, scientific and technical activities. These activities require a high level of training and they provide users with specialist knowledge and experience. "
This economic classifications are used for the statistical monitoring of companies or their production by sector, so only recorded freelance (independent) activity (detection regardless of the form of activity, so freelance or employed , takes place in the context of occupational classifications ).
Correspondence
Correspondence to other classifications:
- Before 2006 (NACE Rev. 1), these economic sectors belonged to Section K Real estate and housing, leasing of movable property, provision of business-related services (divided into L real estate and housing , M and N provision of other economic services )
- In the occupation classification ISCO (08) these occupations mostly fall into 1 manager , 2 academic occupations , 3 technicians and non-technical occupations of equal rank .
- In the Central Product Classification (CPC Vers. 2) the goods are consistently grouped into 81 Research and development services , 82 Legal and accounting services and 83 Other professional, technical and business services .
- The group roughly corresponds to the professional law concept of the liberal profession in Germany. The doctors / dentists and pharmacists, who belong to the much narrower group of liberal professions (professions of public importance) there, as in Austria , do not fall into this class - unlike the rest of these professions - but rather Department Q Health and Social Services ; the German concept also includes occupations from other NACE departments.
