Earth rod

The earth rod was a measure of length in Mecklenburg-Strelitz . Trench construction was used for this measure.

The tail differed from the Feldrute and Baurute . The latter was 12 feet and 3.76624 meters in length .

The field rod was also calculated to be 16 feet, but was only 0.291 feet in length. The total length for the field survey was 4.654 meters.

The starting point for the construction rod and earth rod in Mecklenburg-Strelitz was always the duodecimal (12 inches with 12 lines each) foot with 0.31385 meters.
