Eren Güvercin

Eren Güvercin (born 1980 in Cologne ) works as a freelance journalist for various radio stations and newspapers. He is a member of the 4th German Islam Conference .

Life

He is the son of Turkish parents and a native of Cologne. For many years he was the author of the Islamic newspaper . He also wrote for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , Deutschlandradio , WDR , taz and der friday . He studied law in Bonn.

He is one of the founders of the Alhambra Society .

He is a member of the advisory board of the "Forum for Open Religious Policy eV", was the initiator of the "Alternative Islam Conference" project and a former member of the denominational advisory board of the Center for Islamic Theology (ZIT) of the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster.

Positions

Güvercin campaigns against Turkey's influence on Muslim affairs in Germany. Güvercin sees Ramadan as part of German customs.
