Eric Fincks

Eric Fincks (* 1964 in Hamburg ) is a former German basketball player .

career

Born in Hamburg, Fincks was a member of the first basketball Bundesliga team of SG Braunschweig in the 1988/89 season. The 2.03 meter tall indoor player was used in 21 top division games this season and scored 2.4 points per game. He missed the Bundesliga stay with the Braunschweig, in the 1990/91 season he was promoted to the top German league with the Lower Saxony. In the same season he moved into the final of the DBB Cup with the second division team , in which they lost to Bayer Leverkusen . Fincks also played in the Bundesliga in 1991/92, with a total of 45 appearances in the Braunschweig shirt.

Fincks studied mechanical engineering and from 1996 worked as a vocational school teacher for metal technology and social studies. In Munich he became head of the vocational school for vocational integration .
