Eric Regan (born February 7, 1976 in Sacramento , California ) is an American boxer . He is IBA Continental Middleweight Champion.

Career

Eric Regan has been a professional boxer since 1998. Before that, he was an excellent kick boxer with a record of 32 wins and no losses. He made his professional debut on August 20, 1998 in Sacramento , knocking out his American compatriot Thomas Hinde in the first round. He fought his following fights almost exclusively in California and remained undefeated in 22 fights in a row. With his hard punch, he won most of his fights by knockout.

On March 14, 2003 in Oroville , Calif., He defeated the Mexican Rita Ruvalcaba by techn. KO in the 4th round, who had just fought for the WBA Middleweight World Championship. On October 24, 2003, Eric Regan was born in Oroville by a techn. KO victory in the 1st round over the Mexican middleweight champion Jaime Llanes IBA Continental middleweight champion. But he lost this title in his next fight on November 28, 2003 in Sacramento by a techn. KO defeat in the 9th round to the Mexican Pedro Ortega . But he managed to defeat Ortega in Oroville on May 28, 2004 after 12 rounds on points and regain his title.

In the following title defenses, Eric Regan also remained successful. On January 21, 2005 he beat the former IBA light middleweight world champion Luis Ramon Campos from Mexico after 12 rounds on points and defeated Miguel Martin on November 27, 2005 in Sacramento in the 7th round by techn. KO. The Mexican Elco Garcia also had no chance on May 19, 2006 in Oroville against Eric Regan and lost through techn. KO in the 5th round. In an effort to get a world championship fight of one of the big professional boxing associations, he competed on August 25, 2006 in Sacramento against his compatriot Sergio Mora and was defeated by this after 10 rounds on points.
