Eric Shirley
Eric Shirley (born April 3, 1929 in Epsom ) is a retired British obstacle runner .
In 1956 he was eighth over 3000 m obstacle at the Olympic Games in Melbourne . At the European Athletics Championships in Stockholm in 1958 and at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, he was eliminated in the preliminary run.
In 1956, 1958 and 1960 he was English champion. He set his personal best of 8: 47.6 minutes on October 12, 1955 in London .
