Erich Fidesser

Erich Fidesser (born January 22, 1939 in Hollabrunn ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and private employee. From 1974 to 1993 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

Life

Fidesser graduated from high school in 1957 and subsequently worked as a construction technician. From 1965 he was active as a local councilor in Zellerndorf and was vice mayor in 1980 and then again as councilor until 1985. Within the party, Fidesser was active as the state secretary of the young ÖVP from 1965 to 1968, was their regional chairman from 1971 to 1976, and ÖVP district party chairman from 1971 to 1980. In addition, he worked as the regional chairman of the Lower Austrian education and homeland organization, was the ÖVP main district party chairman from 1980 to 1993 and played a key role in the development of the Lower Austrian relief organization, which he took over management from 1980 to 2002. In addition, he was federal chairman of the Austrian relief organization from 1988 to 1998 and in 1996 chairman of the relief organization Austria. Fidesser represented the ÖVP from July 11, 1974 to June 7, 1993 in the state parliament.
