Erich Klemm (born April 25, 1954 in Sindelfingen ) was Chairman of the General Works Council and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Daimler AG from 1999 to 2014 .

Life

Following the acquisition of GCSEs , he graduated from 1970 to 1973 with Daimler-Benz , a professional training for machinist . From 1973 to 1978 he worked in process development at the Sindelfingen plant. In 1980 he completed advanced training to become a human resources specialist and a REFA training (1981). From 1971 to 1978, Klemm was chairman of the youth council at the Sindelfingen plant and from 1972 to 1978 chairman of the youth council. In 1978 he was elected to the works council and released from work.

Erich Klemm has been a member of the supervisory board of what was then Daimler-Benz AG (today Daimler AG) since 1988 and has been chairman of the works council at the Sindelfingen plant since 1989.

He also has the following functions at Daimler AG: Chairman of the Group Works Council, the European Works Council and the World Employee Committee .

Outside the company, he holds the following offices: Member of the district council of AOK Böblingen / Sindelfingen, member of the IG Metall advisory board for the Federal Republic of Germany, member of the IG Metall administrative office in Stuttgart and member of the IG Metall tariff commission.

On May 1, 2014, Klemm retired.
