Already during his high school time (first in Landsberg, later at the Königstädtisches Gymnasium in Berlin ) he took piano lessons. In 1928 he became an employee of the Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk AG (MIRAG, forerunner of the MDR ), initially as the successor to Wilhelm Rettich as head of the record department, from 1930 as head of the concert department. Liebermann-Roßwiese was baptized as a Protestant, but was still considered a Jew after 1933 . After unsuccessful attempts to get a job in Turkey, he applied - also unsuccessfully - to the Dutch radio in 1938. Most recently he lived in a “ Jewish house ” in Leipzig. On January 21, 1942 , he was deported to the Riga ghetto and murdered there that same year.
