Erik Jan Kooiman (born June 28, 1986 in Ammerstol ) is a Dutch speed skater .

Career

Kooiman made his debut in the Speed ​​Skating World Cup at the beginning of the 2014/15 season in Seoul . There he won the B-World Cup over 10,000 m. In November 2014 he was third in the Dutch championships over 10,000 m. At the individual distance world championships in 2015 in Heerenveen , he won the silver medal over 10,000 m. In the 2015/16 season he came in the top ten at all five World Cup starts and thus achieved ninth place in the overall World Cup over 5000/10000 m. In December 2015 he took second place over 10,000 m at the Dutch Championships in Heerenveen.
