Erik Reischl

Erik Reischl (* 1973 in Wiesbaden ) is a German pianist .

Life

Reischl studied from 1994 to 2002 with Herbert Seidel at the Frankfurt University of Music . After several masterclasses (with Lasar Berman and Paul Badura-Skoda, among others ), his first CD was released in 1997, and others followed with works by Liszt, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Chopin, Mozart and Haydn.

Awards

Erik Reischl has received several grants and awards, including:

  • 1st prize in the Hamburg Steinway piano competition in 1989
  • Prize in the national youth music competition 1992
  • 1993 "Primera Medalla per unanimitat" (final of the international piano competition "Maria Canals de Barcelona")
  • 1995 2nd prize in the international competition of Ferrol (Spain).
  • 1996 finalist in the Franz Liszt Competition in Budapest
  • 1999 Culture Prize of the Rheingau-Taunus District
  • 1st prize in the Lenzewski piano competition 2000
  • 4th prize in the "Valesia Musica" International Competition (Italy) in 2000
  • 2001 candidate with scholarship in the finals of the German Music Competition in Berlin
