Erika Karata
Erika Karata ( Japanese 唐田 え り か Karata Erika ; born September 19, 1997 in Kimitsu , Japan ) is a Japanese actress .
Life
In 2014, Erika Karata played a school girl in the Japanese-language music video Divine by the South Korean girl group Girls' Generation . Some appearances in Japanese television series followed. 2018 she played the lead role in the film Asako I & II by Ryusuke Hamaguchi , who in competition at Cannes was played.
In addition to her mother tongue, Karata speaks Korean and has also been under contract with the South Korean agency BH Entertainment since 2017. In South Korea, she first appeared in LG Electronics commercials and a music video for Brown Eyed Soul before playing the role of Karika in the fantasy series Arthdal Chronicles in 2019 .
At the beginning of 2020 it was announced that she was having an affair with the actor Masahiro Higashide , which she has had secretly for 3 years. Masahiro Higashide is married to Anne Watanabe, the daughter of actor Ken Watanabe , which is why the affair has been controversial in the media. Karata thus lost a role in the drama Prayers in the Emergency Room . She also closed her Instagram account and website.
