The commemorative token of the 60th birthday of Crown Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria is a semi-official, Bavarian decoration, awarded by the pretender to the throne, Crown Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria , in 1929.

Foundation, endowment

The decoration was donated by Crown Prince Rupprecht , who was regarded as a "king without a crown" in Bavaria during the Weimar period, on May 18, 1929 "for the representatives of the military and patriotic associations, as well as his personal surroundings and his court" as a portable commemorative token of his 60th birthday. The design comes from the Munich painter and graphic artist Julius Diez .

It is a pin badge made of gold-plated brass bronze with a vertical hinge pin on the back, awarded in a case.

Front : High Oval medallion with a stylized laurel crown , topped by a royal crown; in the middle, a large R (Rupprecht) resting on a lozenge ground .

Reverse : date inscription; 18 • 5 • 1929
