Eriphyle ( ancient Greek Ἐριφύλη Eriphýlē ) is in Greek mythology the daughter of Talaos and Lysimache and the wife of the seer Amphiaraos . She becomes the mother of two sons, Alkmaion and Amphilochus , and two daughters, Demonassa and Eurydice .

Eriphyle persuaded her husband to take part in the march of the Seven against Thebes led by her brother Adrastus , after she had been bribed by Polynices with the necklace of Harmonia . Amphiaraos was killed in this campaign. After her son Alkmaion found out that his father had participated in the battle because of Eriphyle, he killed her.
