organization

The Erne Group employs over 700 people in seven production sites and sales offices in Europe, the USA, the Middle East and China. The manufacturing skills are in the areas of tube bending and hydroforming , as well as welding and assembly technology . Weld-in fittings are made from steel materials (elbows, T-pieces and reducers ), as well as specially manufactured pipe components. Depending on the product type and type of material, hot forming (mandrel bending process) or cold forming is used. The areas of application of the fittings are primarily in areas of application that require approval, such as power plants , pipelines , refineries , offshore platforms and chemical and industrial plants that are subject to high pressure and temperature influences.

history

Erne Fittings is developing from a workshop into a full-range supplier of fittings with its own logistics center in Schlins. In 1920 Josef Erne founded the former craft coppersmiths in Schlins. In 1984 the raw material warehouse was built on Josef-Erne-Straße in Schlins. In 1988 the plant in Mürzzuschlag was acquired by VEW. In 1992, a high-bay warehouse was built in the Schlins logistics center, which was expanded in 2003. 1997 ELB-Form GmbH was founded in Vandans as a joint venture with Vorarlberger Illwerke AG . In 2001 the German company Siekmann Fittings GmbH & Co. KG in Lohne (Oldenburg) was bought. Sales offices in Houston (2002) and Shanghai (2004) were established. In 2006, the joint venture Erne Fittings Middle East Co. Ltd. established, which was 100% taken over in 2011. In 2008 the ELB-Form GmbH Group became a 100% subsidiary and a new production hall of Erne Fittings GmbH at the Schlins location was put into operation. The family holding Erne Group GmbH was founded in 2011. The main shareholder Helmut Erne died in 2013.

In October 2016, 100 percent of the Erne Group, headquartered in Schlins, was sold to Austrian financial investor Stephan Zöchling. In mid-December, the new owner feared the company's bankruptcy. Since 2017, the group of companies has been majority owned by the Haselsteiner Family Private Foundation, which in turn is owned by the industrialist Hans-Peter Haselsteiner. In the course of the takeover by the investors Stephan Zöchling and Hans-Peter Haselsteiner, the company was reorganized and realigned. In spring 2017, the long-standing CEO of OMV AG, Wolfgang Ruttenstorfer, was won over as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board. In 2017, the production hall on Josef-Erne-Straße in Schlins was also expanded. In 2018 the plant in Lohne (Siekmann Fittings GmbH & Co. KG) was closed and production was relocated to the new hall in Schlins. In the same year Erne Fittings opened a warehouse in Houston, USA.

In 2019, ELB-Form GmbH in Vandans was spun off from the Erne Group and integrated into the REMUS-SEBRING Group (a company owned by Stephan Zöchling). In 2019, further investments were made in expanding the plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, and the production program was expanded.
