Ernest Leonard Johnson (* before 1900, † around 1977) was a South African astronomer .
Johnson worked at the Union Observatory , where he retired in 1956. He discovered four comets , including the periodic comet 48P / Johnson named after him and the comets C / 1935 A1, C / 1948 R1, C / 1949 K1.
Johnson also discovered 18 asteroids.
