Ernst-Wilhelm Luthe

Ernst-Wilhelm Luthe (born August 20, 1957 in Rinteln ) is a German legal scholar .

Life

Luthe grew up in Rinteln. After graduating from high school in 1976, he studied law and social sciences at the University of Hanover and graduated in autumn 1983. Afterwards, Luthe was a research assistant at the University of Hanover at the chair for legal sociology and legal didactics with Hans Albrecht Hesse . 1989 Luthe was at the University of Hannover for doctor of law doctorate . In 2000 he was at the University of Oldenburg habilitation . From 1988 to 1992 Luthe worked as an administrative lawyer in the service of the State of Hesse and the Federal Minister of Finance .

Luthe has been Professor of Public Law and Social Law at the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences (Faculty of Social Sciences ) since 1992 , where he also heads the Institute for Applied Legal and Social Research (IRS). In 2010, Luthe was also given an unscheduled second professorship at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in the Department of Economics and Law.

The focus of his work is on legal contributions from the areas of constitutional, administrative, social, educational, health and European law . In addition, Luthe has also worked in the social science context, u. a. with work on the topics of educational networks, decentralized health care, case management and social technology . He is the general editor of the book series “Gesundheit. Politics-Society-Economy ”(together with John N. Weatherly). Luthe is considered "one of the really great academic social and administrative lawyers in Germany."
