Ernst Herzig (politician)

Ernst Herzig (born May 11, 1943 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From 2003 to 2008, Herzig was a member of the state parliament of Lower Austria and mayor of Breitenfurt near Vienna .

Life

After elementary school, Herzig attended a humanistic grammar school and high school . He also completed various courses to become an accountant. From 1962 he worked in the Enns sugar factory.

politics

Herzig became a local councilor in 1975 and mayor of Breitenfurt near Vienna in 1985. Between April 24, 2003 and April 10, 2008 he represented the ÖVP in the Lower Austrian state parliament, although he did not stand as a candidate in the state elections in Lower Austria in 2008 .
