Ernst Kammerer

Ernst Kammerer (* 1908 in Munich ; † 1941 in Russia ) was a German columnist and author.

Career

During his academic years in Munich, Kammerer belonged to the circle of Professor Artur Kutscher and was involved in stage performances of the Four Messages , at times even as the fourth message ( Goethe is wrong here! ). He also worked for many years as a hobby attorney.

As a columnist, he later wrote in the Süddeutsche Sonntagspost, among others .

Finally, as a book author, he was extremely successful with his two humorous “little encyclopedias” (1939 and 1941), which were published again and again years after his death.

Kammerer was a soldier in World War II . In October 1941 he fell in Russia.

In 1967, Hans Bender counted it among the "feuilleton classics". To this day, texts by him have found their way into anthologies.
