Ervin Hall

Ervin Hall ( Ervin Henry "Erv" Hall ; born March 5, 1947 in Philadelphia ) is a former American hurdler who had specialized in the 110-meter distance .

In 1968 he qualified as third in the US eliminations for the Olympic Games in Mexico City . There he set an Olympic record in the semifinals with 13.3 s. In the final he won silver with 13.4 s behind his compatriot Willie Davenport (13.3 s) and ahead of the Italian Eddy Ottoz at the same time .

In 1969 Hall, starting for Villanova University , became NCAA hall champion over 60 yard hurdles and NCAA champion over 120 yard hurdles.
