Erythras (son of Leukon)
Erythras ( Greek Ἐρύθρας ) is a figure in Greek mythology .
He is a son of Leukon and grandson of Athamas . According to Pausanias 6, 21, 9-11 he is said to have been one of the men who asked for the hand of Hippodameia and was killed after they had lost to Oinomaos in the chariot race to her father .
The city of Erythrai in Boeotia is said to be named after Erythras .
