The Escuela Técnica Otto Krause is a technical school in the Argentine capital Buenos Aires . In 1995 the building was declared a National Historic Monument (Law No. 24,491).

The Otto Krause Technical School is located at the intersection of Avenida Paseo Colón and Calle Chile in the San Telmo district . It was named after its founder, the engineer Otto Krause, son of German immigrants. The school was founded in 1897, making it the oldest technical school in the country. The current building was inaugurated on May 24, 1909.

The school has around 2000 students and the training lasts six years. The first three years (ciclo básico) are intended for school education, comparable to the German upper secondary level , with a technical orientation. In the years four to six there is vocational training to become a technician in various areas. After completing the training, an engineering degree can be added.
