Dog-ear (magazine)

Eselsohr is the title of a specialist journal for children's and youth media ( ISSN  0178-0905 ). The magazine, first published in 1982, was intended as a support medium for the German-language children's book publishers. The dog-ear is published monthly by the publishing house Reading Adventure GmbH with a circulation of 3000 copies. In the months of March and October, the print run will be increased to 5000 on the occasion of the Leipzig Book Fair and the Frankfurt Book Fair .

The magazine publishes reviews in the categories of picture books, children's books, young people's books, non-fiction books, reports from the children's and young people's literature scene, portraits and interviews on current trends and topics. The addressees of the magazine are writers and literary intermediaries.

The journal is archived in several public libraries . In 2017 she was awarded the avj media prize.
