Eskalera Karakola is a squatting in Madrid , Spain occupied by feminists in collective self-government. The house was in Lavapiés from 1996-2005 and is now on Calle Embajador. The occupation organizes activities that focus on domestic violence and the precariat of women in post-industrial capitalism . In 2002 a “Laboratory for Women’s Labor” was founded with anti-racist activities especially for immigrant women from Spain. Eskalera Karakola also helps organize Gay Pride and the Women and Architecture forum. Movements that wanted to create an alternative to globalization, such as B. the European Social Forum . The cast is part of the nextGENDERation network.

Some of the people involved in the cast have been criticized for their sexist ideology. Some feminists kicked men out.
