Esko Kullervo Salminen (born October 12, 1940 in Helsinki, Finland ) is a Finnish actor .

Life

Esko Salminen is the son of the actor Tauno Palo and the actress Kyllikki Väre . After his parents separated, he was raised by his mother and the actor Unto Salminen . After graduating from school, he studied at the Finnish Theater School from 1958 to 1961. After playing Katupeilin takana at the side of his parents in TJ Särkkä's love comedy in 1949 , Salminen made his debut in the 1958 television comedy Charleyn ti as Lordi Boberley in a leading role in a feature film and in the 1960 comedy Pekka ja Pätkä neekereinä, directed by Aarne Tarkas alongside Masa Niemi and Siiri Angerkoski on screen.

Salminen was married four times. He was with the actress Rose-Marie Precht from 1961 to 1963. The marriage remained childless. From 1971 to 1981 he married the actress Heidi Krohn , with whom he has two children. From 1983 he was married to the actress Riikka Korppi-Tommola, with whom he has one child. After the divorce he married the actress Aino Seppo , with whom they also have a child. His two children Kristo Salminen and Kreeta Salminen are also actors.
