Speedy Gonzales - Noin 7 veljeksen poika (about: Speedy Gonzales - a son of about seven brothers ) is a western parody from Finland , which Spede Pasanen realized as a screenwriter, producer and in a double role in 1970 under the direction of Ere Kokkonen . The film could hardly be seen outside of its country of origin.

action

Notorious gangster Speedy Gonzales rides to New York to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the death of his brother Moses. Although the population puts all possible obstacles in his way, he finds the solution to the crime. Meanwhile, the slowest gunslingers in the West are trying to duel and the disaffected Desperado Clyde tries again and again in vain to rob the bank. A showdown ends the question of the survivors.

Remarks

A comic film adaptation with speech bubble dialogues; some scenes and names contain clear allusions to the American western series of the 1960s. The main character, however, is named after the cartoon hero of the Warner Brothers . Vesa-Matti Loiri was scheduled for the role of Clyde , who broke his leg shortly before filming began.

A photo book was also published for the film, which was shot on 16mm and then blown up to cinema format.

A follow-up film to the work is Pesanens Hirttämättömät from 1971.
