Espérance Sportive de Tunis (handball)

The Espérance Sportive de Tunis ( Arabic الترجي الرياضي التونسي, DMG at-taraǧǧī ar-riyāḍī at-tūnisī ) is the most successful club in his country. The handball department was founded in 1957 and won its first championship title in 1967. With 32 titles and 26 cup wins, the club is the leader in Tunisian handball. In 1993 and 2005 he reached the final of the CAHB Champions League , but lost each to Al Ahly and GP Pétroliers . In 2003, the club won the CAHB Cup Winner's Cup . In the purely Tunisian final, they defeated the AS Hammamet team . The club plays in the Tunisia Handball League .
