ESPRIT is a program to program CNC machines using NC code . The following machines are supported:
- Turning up to 22 axes
- Milling up to 5 axes, also simultaneously
- Wire EDM up to 5 axes
- Water jet cutting
- Laser cutting
- 3D printing (Additive Suite)
The system has a modular structure, which means that everyone can put together the system as they need it, using a kit .
For ESPRIT there are around 450 post processors available for many common machines. Custom post processors can be created and customized. However, since 2020 all post processors have had to go through a licensing procedure that is subject to a fee.
ESPRIT has a completely Windows-native user interface, making it easy to learn and easy to adapt to the needs of the user. It also has an integrated VBA environment so that every user can write macros and expand the system according to his needs.
The simulation has completely complex machine environments , which means that every user can simulate his machine 100% realistically to ensure that no collisions occur in the workshop during machining .
The American software manufacturer DP Technology was founded in 1982 by Dan Frayssinet and Paul Ricard and today has 250 employees and 21 sales offices on three continents.
