The Estadio Nuevo Laredo (full name: Estadio de Béisbol Nuevo Laredo ) is a ballpark in the Mexican city of Nuevo Laredo , Tamaulipas state . It is part of the Ciudad Deportiva Nuevo Laredo sports complex and can accommodate 7,555 spectators.
history
The Estadio Nuevo Laredo is mainly used for baseball games. The professional baseball team of the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos from the Liga Mexicana de Béisbol (LMB) played their home games in 2018 at the Estadio Nuevo Laredo. Then the club moved to the US city of Laredo , Texas , to the Uni-Trade Stadium . Previously, the predecessor club Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo was the home team from 2008 to 2010. The facility was opened on March 20, 2008 with a 5-0 win for Tecolotes over Acereros de Monclova . The venue was one of three in the Mexican league that played on artificial turf .
