The Estrada de Ferro Jari is a private Brazilian railway line owned by Empresa Jari Celulose SA and located in the north of the Brazilian state of Pará on the border with Amapá . It has a total route length of 68 km. The railway line is required to transport tree trunks that are planted by the aforementioned company through the Jari project in this forest area. The railway line is also used to transport bauxite from a nearby mine to the port of Mungubá on the Rio Jari . This line does not carry passengers.
