The Ethics and Governance of Artificial Intelligence Initiative (formerly the Ethics and Governance of Artificial Intelligence Fund ) is a non-profit organization engaged in research into artificial intelligence and ethics .

The aim is to promote debates, for example, on how social sciences and computer science can be combined for artificial intelligence that are “not only smart, but also socially responsible”.

The Ethics and Governance of Artificial Intelligence Initiative is to be administered by the MIT Media Lab , the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University and the main donors eBay founder Pierre Omidyar and Linkedin founder Reid Hoffman .
