Ethnikos Gymnastikos Syllogos
Ethnikos Gymnastikos Syllogos or Ethnikos Athens is one of the oldest sports clubs in Greece . The association was founded in 1893 . The team leader was Ioannis Chrysafis . Well-known members were Ioannis Mitropoulos , Dimitrios Loundras , Filippos Karvelas and about 15 other, unknown athletes. The sports club took part in gymnastics at the Summer Olympics in 1896 . They competed in bars for teams and came third out of three teams.
