Etta Streicher (born November 15, 1977 in Bad Soden am Taunus ) is a poet, actress, presenter and performance artist.

Life

Streicher graduated from the school for clowns in Mainz in 2001. She then worked in various ensembles, such as B. from 2001 to 2005 Teatro d'Arte Scarello in Mainz, from 2003 and 2005 Theater die Kiste (touring theater for children) in Austria, between 2005 and 2009 antagon TheaterAktion (street theater) and from 2010 to 2012 Theater PasParTout (street theater, animation by Large figures).

She has been active in the poetry slam scene as a slammer and presenter since 1999. Since 2004 she has also been developing her own productions in which she stages her own poetry and spoken texts for the stage. Since 2010 she has been working intensively with the illustrator and animator Rebecca Blöcher, in the artist group "zeichen & flounder "they combine word art and visual art. The joint cartoon “torment” based on a poem by Etta Streicher was awarded the rating “Particularly Valuable” by the German Film and Media Assessment and has already been shown at over 70 festivals in over 30 countries. In 2015 ,zeichen & flounder published the volume of poetry Menschenfresser 1 .

Etta Streicher has been working with puppeteer Pauline Drünert as a theater and performance ensemble since 2011. In 2011 the joint production was started . - an observational experiment in public space. In 2015 the production Spinnlein, Spinnlein an der Wand , a puppet theater for children and adults aged 5 and over, directed by puppeteer Ilka Schönbein , with live music by Tina Speidel.
