Eudismic relationship

The eudismic ratio is a parameter derived from medicinal chemistry , which indicates the stereoselectivity of a protein for a chiral ligand . The eudismic ratio is the quotient of the affinity or the activity of the more effective enantiomer ( eutomer ) and the affinity or activity of the less effective enantiomer ( distomer ).

The decadic logarithm of the eudismic ratio is also known as the eudismic index . A possible correlation between the affinity of a ligand and its eudismic ratio is described in Pfeiffer's rule .
