Euenos

Euenos ( Greek  Εὔηνος or Εὐηνός ) is a river god in Greek mythology . He is the son of the god of war Ares and Demonike . He is the brother of Molos , Thestios and Pylos .

He loses his only daughter Marpessa to Idas in a chariot race . Since he cannot overcome this loss, he throws himself into the river Lykormas (today Evinos, ancient Greek Εὔηνος ).
