The Eugen G. Leuze Verlag goes back to Eugen Georg Leuze (* August 8, 1874 in Reutlingen , † April 3, 1946 in Leipzig ), who first founded it in 1902 for the specialist journal " Galvanotechnik " in Leipzig.
history
On December 4, 1943, the company building was completely destroyed by a bomb hit. The magazine "Galvanotechnik" continued to appear until the end of the war, but had to be temporarily discontinued in 1946.
Heinz Leuze, son of Eugen Georg and his wife Gertrud, resumed the publishing business in Bad Saulgau in November 1952 and ran it until his sudden death on November 9, 1983. His son-in-law Kurt Reichert and his two daughters Sylvia and Inge took over continued the publishing house until 2008.
Kurt Reichert died on October 23, 2008. Since then, Sylvia Leuze-Reichert has continued to run the publishing house on her own.
Publications
Magazines
According to the publisher, the magazine "Galvanotechnik" has a circulation of approx. 6000 copies and appears in 53 countries.
The magazine "PLUS Production of Printed Circuit Boards and Systems" has been published since 1999.
Specialist books and yearbook
According to its own information, the publisher has published around 100 technical books. This includes a series of publications and textbooks on electroplating with around 25 and 10 titles.
The yearbook on surface technology was last published in 2011 with volume 67 and appears anew every year.
Industry leader
The 15th and 11th edition with the subtitle "2009/2010" appear on electroplating and electronics production.

DGO badge
Among the eight men who in 1971 received the DGO badge from the “DGO Deutsche Gesellschaft für Galvano- und Oberflächentechnik e. V. ”was also awarded to Heinz Leuze.
Heinz Leuze Prize
The "DGO German Society for Electroplating and Surface Technology e. V. ”donated the“ Heinz Leuze Prize ”in 1985, shortly after Heinz Leuze's death, in recognition of his achievements for the further development of electroplating technology, especially in publications.
