Eugene Laur

Eugen Laur (* 1825 ; † after June 1885 ) was a German Romanist .

life and work

Laur completed his habilitation in 1869 at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg for the subject of French literature and was a private lecturer and practical language teacher until 1875. From 1875 to 1885 he taught as an associate professor. In June 1885 his university activities ended due to illness. He was followed by Emile Freymond after. Laur was a member of the Heidelberg Masonic Lodge Ruprecht zu den five Rosen .
