technology

Sterpu invented a special and peculiar way of working with pastel colors. He draws on sandpaper using varnish. As a result, the colors are very strong and clear. A suitable passe-partout is used for each picture and this brings out the contrast and clarity of the colors in a nuanced manner. His training in sculpture deepened Sterpus' understanding of architecture and this is also evident in his works. This technique creates a three-dimensional impression when looking at his works. Opinions regarding his works vary. Some consider him a surrealist, others a postmodernist.
