Eugenio Fuster Chepe

Eugenio Fuster Chepe (born August 22, 1943 in Cienfuegos , † October 10, 2010 in Havana ) was a Cuban agricultural expert and functionary .

Life

Fuster was the youth leader and delegate of both the first and second congresses of the Unión de Jóvenes Comunistas (UJC) and the ninth World Festival of Youth and Students . In 1965 he joined the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and was an elected member of the regional office of Cienfuegos until 1968. In 1974 he graduated from the Universidad Central de Las Villas as an agricultural engineer. Later he worked in the Ministry of Agriculture, where he was responsible for the areas of irrigation and drainage as well as the Deputy Ministry for the area of ​​"various cultivation". From 1994 to 2001 he held the function of a delegate for agriculture in Havana, where he eventually became the developer and head of urban agriculture. In 2004 he was elected President of the Asociación Cubana de Técnicos Agrícolas y Forestales (Cuban Association of Farmers and Foresters, ACTAF).
