The Owls tower is from the Middle Ages derived former gate tower in Kroppenstedt in Saxony-Anhalt . With its baroque Welschen hood, it shapes the cityscape next to the tower of St. Martin's Church .

The Kroppenstedter city fortifications, to which the Owl Tower also belongs, dates in parts from the beginning of the 13th century. The Eulenturm was the gate tower of the church door to the west of the city and is mentioned in the year 1367th Originally there were two more gate towers as well as several defense towers that are still in existence today. In 1463 the city ​​wall was destroyed by fire in an enemy attack. It was not rebuilt until 1553. For 1595 the gates were filled with scorer and musician.

A hospital was built west of the tower in 1566 as a foundation for the poor. After another fire, the hospital was rebuilt in 1713, but later demolished.

The Kroppenstedter Heimatmuseum is located right next to the Owl Tower.
