Euphorbia barnhartii is a species of the genus spurge ( Euphorbia ) in the family of Euphorbiaceae (Euphorbiaceae).

The succulent Euphorbia barnhartii forms bushes with loosely branching up to 2 meters in height. The triangular shoots are winged on the edges. On the edges there are teeth with deep indentations up to 6 centimeters apart. The thorn shields are small and only short thorns are formed. The very small stipule spines are soft. The seated leaves are obovate and up to 5 inches long and 4.5 inches wide.

The inflorescence consists of single and simple cymes that are almost sessile. The ovary is also almost sessile. Nothing is known about the fruits and seeds.

Distribution and systematics

Euphorbia barnhartii is widespread in India on the Dekkan plateau and on the Andamans . But it can also be found in forests in Thailand .

The species was first described in 1934 by Léon Camille Marius Croizat . Euphorbia trigona Roxb is a synonym for Euphorbia barnhartii . (1832).
