Eureko BV was one of the largest Dutch insurance groups based in Zeist . The group consisted of twelve companies from the insurance and reinsurance sectors.

The main shareholder was Centraal Beheer Achmea, a Dutch insurance company that is structured like a German mutual insurance association . Another major shareholder was the Dutch Rabobank , since it brought its insurance subsidiary into the group in 2005 and, in return, became its major shareholder (stake around 32% on January 1, 2009).

In 2007 the group generated sales of € 14.8 billion with a workforce of 24,035 people (source: 2007 annual report). In the last few years the group had expanded considerably to Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The most important acquisition was a large share in the Polish market leader Powszechny Zakład Ubezpieczeń , by far the largest insurance group in Central and Eastern Europe. In December 2008 it also acquired the Russian insurer Oranta .

In 2011 the company was merged with Achmea NV, creating Achmea BV.
